In this private sensory class for Westmoreland Club members, you will learn to identify basic aromas and tastes found in white and red wines to hone your palate and broaden your enjoyment and appreciation of fine wine.
DAY 1 - Wednesday, September 21
Our journey to CA Wine Country begins! Meet your fellow members at the Westmoreland Club for an early morning transfer to the Newark airport for our nonstop flight to San Francisco.
Upon arrival in San Francisco, our private transfer takes us through the Napa Valley to the elegant, award-winning Villagio Inn & Spa. Enjoy a champagne reception and meet with concierge and spa hosts for an overview of Villagio's abundant amenities. Tonight, the Westmoreland Club hosts a private, 3-course Welcome Dinner with wine pairings at the V Wine Cellar. (B, D)
DAY 2 - Thursday, September 22
Our tour of Napa and Sonoma Valley's wineries begins today on board our private touring coach. The Westmoreland Club is currently organizing unique and privileged winery tours and tasting* experiences, not available to the general public, with our CA wine suppliers. We estimate a 6 hour tour with tastings* at 4-5 wineries.
After an exciting day of wine touring, return to Villagio to enjoy dinner on your own tonight at one of Yountville's epicurean delights with a small group of Westmoreland friends. Pending availability, an option to dine at Thomas Keller's French Laundry will be offered as well as Keller's 2006 Ad Hoc family-style restaurant. (B, L)
DAY 3 - Friday, September 23
A day to relax and partake in everything offered at the Villagio Inn & Spa and the walking town of Yountville. Yountville features quality shopping, art galleries and wine tasting rooms just steps away from your room. Enjoy an early morning hot air balloon ride, relax at the pool and spa or shop till you drop. An optional Wine Sensory Class* at the V Wine Cellar is offered (see above).
Swap stories at dinner on your own in Yountville with a small group of Westmoreland Club friends. Pending availability, an option to dine at Thomas Keller's French Laundry will be offered as well as Keller's 2006 Ad Hoc family-style restaurant. (B)
DAY 4 - Saturday, September 24
Continue your tour of Napa and Sonoma Valley's wineries on board our private touring coach. The Westmoreland Club is currently organizing unique and privileged winery tours and tasting* experiences, not available to the general public, with our CA wine suppliers. We estimate a 6 hour tour with tastings* at 4-5 wineries.
After a final fulfilling day of wine touring, return to Villagio Inn & Spa where the Westmoreland Club hosts our private Farewell Dinner at Villagio's historic Groezinger Estate. (B, L, D)
DAY 5 - Sunday, September 25
Our CA Wine Country tour ends with an early morning private transfer to San Francisco for our nonstop return flight to Newark airport.
Upon arrival in Newark, we spend one last time together on our private transfer to Wilkes-Barre to relive our memories of Napa & Sonoma Valley's beautiful scenery, spectacular food and the fine wines we enjoyed with good friends. (B, D)

OPTIONAL PRE-TOUR STAY in SAN FRANCISCO
Blend the sites and sophistication of San Francisco with your CA Wine Country tour by adding on a pre-tour stay in San Francisco. Travel by cable car to Fisherman's Wharf, sight-see through Chinatown and enjoy fabulous shopping and dining through out Union Square. Westmoreland Club members can take advantage of reciprocal club privileges at the Marine Memorial Club conveniently located in Union Square.
